Dr. Andrew Benson grew up in Marion, where his family has deep roots in the community. After completing his undergraduate studies and pharmacy school, he made the decision to return home — bringing the clinical training of a modern pharmacy education back to the town that raised him.

In 2019, he founded The Local Pharm with a simple goal: build the kind of pharmacy he always wished Marion had — fast, friendly, and genuinely invested in the people it serves. From day one, the focus has been on building real relationships with patients, not just filling prescriptions.

Today, Dr. Benson and his team continue that mission, welcoming anyone in the community — regardless of where they're seen for care or what insurance they carry — to experience pharmacy the way it should be.
