Prescriptions & Transfers
Yes. We accept valid prescriptions from any licensed prescriber, not just doctors at Mitchell Family Medicine. Whether you're seen here, somewhere else in Marion, or anywhere else, we're glad to fill your prescription.
Just give us a call and let us know which medications you'd like to transfer and the name of your current pharmacy. We'll contact them directly and handle the rest — most transfers are completed the same day.
Yes. You can request a refill through RxLocal, or use NimbleRx for text refill reminders and the option to pay for your prescriptions online.
MedsOnCue is a free QR code printed on your prescription vial. Scan it with your phone to get a short video covering your medication and its side effects, plus a direct line to call the pharmacy.
Insurance & Payment
We accept Arkansas Medicaid, most Medicare plans, and most commercial insurance plans. Bring your insurance card with you and our team will handle billing for you.
The Local Pharmer's Club is our name for cost-plus pricing: a transparent cash-pay option based on our actual acquisition cost plus one flat fee. It's free, with no membership required, and open to anyone — whether or not you have insurance.
It depends on your specific plan and medication. For many generics, our cost-plus price is competitive with — and sometimes lower than — a typical insurance co-pay. If you think you're overpaying somewhere else, give us a call and we'll see if we can offer a better price.
Our acquisition cost can change daily depending on the wholesale market, so a price published online could be outdated by the time you visit. We price each prescription at the counter to make sure you always get an accurate number.
Visiting Us
The Local Pharm is located at 924 St Hwy 77, Marion, AR 72364, inside Mitchell Family Medicine.
We're open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We're closed on Sundays.
